This airport, also called Ren-Men Airport, is located 12 km from Frankfurt am Main. It occupies 1470 ha. There are two terminals connected with a free-of-charge train. About 80 000 people are employed to operate the airport.
This is a modern and passenger friendly airport. It provides, among others, a special checking-in system for families with children and night check-in. Self-check-in stations are also available. Luggage can be dropped off at self-serviced luggage check-in kiosks. Navigating at the airport is easier thanks to the so-called “info kiosks". They display information with an up-to-date flight status, possible changes and the shortest way to get to your departure point. Nevertheless, these are not all the amenities the passengers will enjoy there. Women may be surprised that there is a special car park designated deliberately for them. Peace and quiet can be found in praying and silence zones. Kids won’t be bored too – special play areas will keep them busy. Travelers will also find a free-of-charge baby stroller rental and even… a dog hotel!
